RE: China continues its international expansion, from solar to wind power

    IN THE SOLAR…

Restrictions on the sale of Chinese solar panels in the European Union ended on September 3 as planned, causing concern among European producers fearing an influx of cheap imports

In force for five years, the measure aimed at protecting the European solar industry was considered counterproductive by solar panel installers who were deprived of cheaper products

Anti-dumping taxes on imports of Chinese solar panels, cells and wafers instituted by the European Commission in 2013 were renewed in March 2017 for 18 months, while warning that no renewal would be considered given its development objective renewable energies

While some have welcomed the end of restrictive measures as a “decisive turning point” for the European solar industry, others are considering taking the case to the European Court of Justice.

    IN WIND POWER…

Already present on the European market, China is continuing its international investments in wind power and in OECD countries.

The leading investor in renewable energies , the Middle Kingdom wants to further accelerate its development abroad by investing massively in infrastructure projects or equity investments.
